Technician Opportunities

Eastern Lift Truck Co. is always looking for experienced technicians to support our growth. With sixteen convenient repair locations in the Mid-Atlantic area we offer responsive, knowledgeable service of all makes and models of material handling equipment, commercial overhead door and dock equipment, balers and compactors and more.

  • Forklift Technicians

The majority of our technicians work on forklifts and other material handling equipment, either in one of our service facilities or on the road at a customer location. Although we are a Hyster-Yale dealership, our technicians are capable of working on virtually any make and model of equipment. We are always hiring skilled forklift technicians.

  • Dock & Door Technicians

Our Dock & Door Division is hiring technicians with years of experience in the field, as well as people who have a strong mechanical aptitude, but are just starting their service career. Dock and Door technicians work on sectional and rolling doors, dock seals, shelters, levelers and vehicle restraints.

  • Baler & Compactor Technicians

If you have 2+ years’ experience servicing, repairing and installing balers, compactors, and other industrial equipment, we want to talk to you! Candidates should have a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to read schematics. Welding and fabrication skills are also important.

Forklift Technicians

Field Service Technicians are provided a company service van (or truck), uniform, and cell phone. They are dispatched from home and typically work Monday through Friday. Hours may vary slightly depending on customer needs, but the vast majority are back home in time for dinner each night.

Shop Technicians work the same hours but at one of our multiple facilities.

All Eastern Lift Truck Co. technicians are paid for actual hours worked, as opposed to time listed in a labor guidebook.

We value all our technicians and provide access to on-going training, encourage two-way communication and offer support from management down. We are proud of our enjoyable work environment and strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Dock & Door Technicians

We segment our Dock & Door Technicians into two roles: Lead Technicians and Helpers. All of our Dock & Door Techs work on the road at customer locations. Lead Technicians are provided a company vehicle and cell phone. The majority of the work is performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Unique situations may require an early start or late finish.

The loading dock is one of the most dangerous and overlooked areas of a business. It is our goal to help customers create a safer, cleaner and more energy-efficient loading dock environment.

Baler & Compactor Technicians

Our Retail Services Division is headquartered in Queenstown, MD, on the eastern shore, and provides sales and service for equipment typically found in the back room of a retail business. That equipment includes balers, compactors, containers, motorized shopping carts, dock and flooring cleaning equipment. This division has a large territory, working with customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic, as far north as CT, west to OH and south to the VA/NC border.

Since its inception in 2010, the Retail Services Division has grown exponentially and is always interested in talking to qualified technicians throughout their sales and service area.
