About JCB
JCB began with humble roots. In 1945, Joseph Bamford used a second-hand welding set in a rented garage to create a tipping trailer from surplus war materials. Once he sold it, he immediately started on making another. Three years later, he had a team of five employees who worked with him to create innovations in equipment solutions. With the release of their first backhoe loader in 1953, the JCB logo appeared for the first time on a piece of equipment.
Today, JCB has 18 factories spanning the globe which provide equipment to 150 countries. All of it stands on their principles of creating dependable products and offering superior customer service.
